3. Leg (Armhole) circumference is measured around the top of the front leg, as close to the chest as possible.

Leg (Armhole) Circumference

4. Collar-Tail Distance is measured along the back, from the base of the neck ( approximately at the collar position ), all the way to the base of the tail. Make sure not to place the beginning of the measurement tape too far from the base of the neck, because in that case the sweater will come out too short or too long! The easiest way to do this is while the dog is sitting.

Collar-Tail Distance

5. Collar-Legs Distance is measured along the front, from the base of the neck (approximately at the collar position), to the top of the front legs. This measurement determines how much of the neck will be covered, so you can play a little with it. However, make sure not to place the beginning of the measurement tape too far from the base of the neck, because in that case the sweater will come out too short or too long!

Collar-Leg Distance

6. Collar-Belly Distance is measured along the front and underside, from the from the base of the neck (approximately at the collar position) to the end of the rib cage (the point where the belly begins). Usually, the end point will be midway between the front and hind legs. Be careful with this measurement, especially with male dogs. We don't want it to be too long. :)

Collar-Belly Distance

7. Distance Between Legs is measured underside, between the front legs.

8. Armpit-Elbow Distance is measured between the armpit and the elbow, on the inner side of the front leg.
